The growing demand for resource-efficient construction methods and low-emission materials is bringing earthen construction increasingly into the spotlight in the building sector, thanks to its full recyclability. The ‘Basic Course in Earthen Construction’ certificate course offers a thorough introduction to planning and building with earth and combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
The course content covers fundamental aspects of earth construction, key earth construction techniques, the integration of the material into the planning process, and the legal framework. In the practical section, participants will learn craft skills such as the professional application of clay plasters and clay building boards, the production of earth bricks and rammed earth walls, and the installation of earth screeds, earth fillings and various combinations of wood and earth.
