In the competition for outstanding sustainable projects at universities, BASEhabitat was awarded for its innovative study programmes with a focus on sustainable building materials and social responsibility.
Since 2008, the Sustainability Award has been announced and awarded by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF) and the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) as an Austria-wide competition for universities, universities of applied sciences and universities of teacher education for particularly innovative and sustainable university projects.
