Kathryn Larsen. Building with the Sea. Algae, Shell and Seagrass as Local Construction Materials

Kathryn Larsen is an architectural technologist, architecture masters candidate at TU Delft, and founder of the design practice Studio Kathryn Larsen.

She combines her practical construction background with a tactile design process, that involves sketching, drawing by hand, and material experimentation. She is most known for her work with vernacular materials, especially with seaweed and seagrass.
